Karma Tsering is a Bhutanese writer whose stories are inspired by everyday life, childhood memories, culture, and the quiet moments that shape how children see the world.
Her books are written with warmth and simplicity, often drawing from Bhutanese values, emotions, and lived experiences rather than fantasy or instruction.
Several of her children’s books have been published internationally. Her book The Gift was translated into Thai and selected as a “Good Book to Read for Young Children” in Thailand in 2019. Her other books The Right Thing were also translated into Thai.
Karma graduated from Columbia University and has worked with the Royal Government of Bhutan and UNICEF. In 2019, she received a Red Cross Medal of Appreciation from Her Royal Highness Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand.
Through Bhutan Corner, she hopes to share stories that help children connect with kindness, reflection, culture, and everyday life in Bhutan.
